Wether you are planning a movie marathon or a birthday party or just a fun film day/night you will need some food. You need some cool Star Wars based snacks, you’ve come to the right place.

Yoda Guacamole

Yoda Guacamole

I love guacamole and serve it with loads of different dishes, this time we made it look like Yoda but the recipe is exactly the same

You’ll need

2 x Avocados

1/2 red onion finely diced

Bunch of coriander to taste finely chopped

1 x tomato deseeded and diced

1 x garlic clove roasted

1 x green chilli finely diced

juice of 1 lime

Method

Place the onion in a mug and put over boiling water, this will soften the onions and the flavour

Place the garlic clove in a small dish with a little oil and place in a pre heated oven to roast, this won’t take long so keep an eye on it. you want the garlic to just start to become soft.

Scoop out the avocados and slice up into small chunks, add them into a large bowl and mash with the back of a fork

add the tomato into the large bowl with the chilli and combine, now add the lime juice, not only will this add to the flavour but it also stops the avocado from turning brown thanks to the citric acid.

drain and add the red onion

check the garlic clove, if it is starting to become soft you will need to allow it to cool a little, peel it and again using the back of a fork couch it into a paste and stir into the Guacamole mix. Add a little salt and pepper if you like.

Add in the coriander and give everything one final mix.

All done, the flavour actually builds over time. We then just shaped it into a today head with nachos around and use sour cream for the eyes and black olives for pupils.

Hutt Dog Star Wars day

Hutt Dogs

These are in a realm of their own! or a galaxy far far away. Based on a Chicago hot dog they are super tasty, you could make any hot dog and call it a Hutt Dog but for me in the UK this recipe is super tasty and different..

You’ll Need

  • 8 x beef hot dogs

  • 8 x poppy seed buns (more on this later)

  • onions diced

  • tomato sliced

  • Relish Sauce

  • Pickled Dill Spears

  • Celery Salt

  • Mustard

Grill the hot dogs until they are cooked through, gently toast the poppy seed buns in a pan, if you can’t find poppy seed buns then just use plain hot dog buns but spread a little butter on the top and tail ends of the bun and sprinkle over the poppy seeds.

Grab a bun and down one side lay one dill pickle spear, on the other side place three slices of tomato.

Place the hot dog in the middle and top with the relish sauce, then mustard, sprinkle a small handful of the chopped onion over the top and a little sprinkle of the celery salt to garnish on top.

Super quick, easy and insanely tasty, give them a try, the kids can help slice the tomato and layer everything up too. Want more tasty Hutt Dog toppings, check out this handy graphic.
